Men staying put, women hitting the road
The Cowboys, under head coach James Wadley, will host the Sooners at Stillwater's DeBois Tennis Complex at 2 p.m.
The Cowgirls, meanwhile, will head to Norman for a 2 p.m. showdown at the Headington Family Tennis Center.
In the Polls
In this week's polls, the Cowboys (12-8, 3-2) check in at No. 20, while the Cowgirls (9-8, 3-5) move up to No. 61. As for OU, the men are currently ranked 70th, while the Lady Sooners are unranked.
In the men's singles polls, OSU sophomore Oleksandr Nedovyesov moved up three spots to No. 5 in the country. Senior Ivan Puchkarov is ranked 64th in singles. In the doubles rankings, the Cowboys' No. 1 duo of Nedovyesov and junior Nathan Byrnes is ranked 13th in the country as they have not lost a conference match.
Last time out
Last spring, the Cowboys defeated the Sooners, 5-2, while the Cowgirls edged the Lady Sooners, 4-3.
Looking to get back on track
Both the men's and women's teams will be looking to right the ship after recently having conference winning streaks snapped. The Cowboys and the Cowgirls each took three-match conference winning streaks into last weekend's competitions with Baylor, but each suffered 6-1 losses at home.
