Game Notes
- OSU's 27th win of the season ties the school's all-time record set by the 1990-91 squad that finished 27-6.
- With the win, OSU earned just its second berth in the Sweet 16 in program history. Its last trip came in 1991 when the Cowgirls defeated DePaul and
- With the win, OSU moves to 6-8 all-time in NCAA Tournament games and 2-1 under head coach Kurt Budke, who owns a 6-4 NCAA Tournament record as a coach.
- The overtime win is OSU's first under head coach Kurt Budke. Their only other overtime game under Budke was a 68-75 double overtime loss to
- OSU is now 2-0 in NCAA Tournament games that have gone into overtime. The Cowgirls defeated Michigan State, 96-94, in triple-overtime in the second round in 1991.
- Three Cowgirls moved into the top-10 of the school's career NCAA Tournament rebound list. Shaunte Smith's 11 rebounds moves her into fourth place with 24. Maria Cordero's 11-rebound effort gives her 22 for her NCAA Tournament career, moving her into sixth place. Danielle Green pulled down nine rebounds, tying her for eighth place with 19.
- The 26-26 halftime score marks the first time this season that OSU has been tied with its opponent at the half.
- With her 23-point performance, Danielle Green has now scored in double-digits in 29 of OSU's 34 contests this season. It is the first time that she has scored double figures in an NCAA Tournament game.
- Green's 23 points marks the third time this season that she has gone over 20 points in a game. It is her fourth career 20+ game.
- OSU set a school record for 3-point attempts in an NCAA Tournament game with 24. The team's previous high of 17 was set in a 1995 first-round game against Duke.
- Andrea Riley has now scored in double figures in 24 straight contests and has 33 double-figure games this season. Her 21-point performance also marks the 22nd time she has scored 20+ points in a game this season.
- Riley's five assists give her 15 in her NCAA Tournament career, tying her with Jodi Fisher for third on OSU's all-time list.
- Riley's six steals is an NCAA Tournament single-game record for an OSU player. She is now tied for third place all-time on the school's NCAA Tournament steals list with 10.
- Taylor Hardeman's three made 3-pointers marks the eighth time this season that she has connected three or more time from long range. The junior has at least one 3-pointer in 26 games this season.
- Hardeman also matched a career high for field goal attempts with 15.
