OSU will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak in the NCAA Tournament. The Cowgirls are 4-8 all time in the event. OSU is making its first back-to-back NCAA appearance since its four-year run from 1993-96. The No. 3 seed is OSU's highest ever in the event, surpassing its No. 5 seed in 1991. OSU made its only Sweet 16 appearance in 1991 as well. The Cowgirls return five players that saw action in last year's event. ESPN2 will broadcast OSU's first-round contest against East Tennessee State with Beth Mowins (play-by-play), Fran Fraschilla (color) and Ron Johnson (sideline) serving as the talent.
Scouting East Tennessee State
The Lady Bucs are making their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament after tying the school record with 21 wins. ETSU has won eight consecutive games and 15 of its last 16 contests. Scouting Florida State
The Seminoles received an at-large bid after finishing 18-13 overall and 7-7 in conference play. The berth marks the fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament for the Seminoles. Eight of FSU's 13 losses have come against ranked opponents. Junior Tanae Davis-Cain leads the team with her 14.8 points per game, while Jacinta Monroe checks in as the top rebounder at 5.8 boards per game.

Jantel Lavender became the first freshman to win Big 10 Player of the Year honors after averaging 17.8 points.
The Series
The Cowgirls and Lady Bucs have never met. OSU has faced Florida State on one occasion. The Cowgirls and Seminoles faced off at the 1983 Dial Invitational in Miami, Fla., with FSU claiming a 72-52 victory. A matchup with Ohio State would be the first for the Cowgirls as well.
What 2 Watch 4
The Cowgirls enter the tournament two wins shy of matching the school's single-season win record ... OSU went 27-6 during the 1990-91 season ... OSU is currently ranked 13th in the Associated Press poll, its highest-ever ranking ... OSU has used the same starting five in all but one game this season (Kansas State).
