Danielle Green Selected To Academic All-District Squad

Oklahoma State senior Danielle Green was named an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District first-team selection today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Green, who has started all 21 games for the Cowgirl basketball squad this season, was one of five players named to the District 6 first team and is now eligible to be selected as an Academic All-American.

An education major, Green is currently second on the squad in scoring (13.7 ppg), rebounding (7.3 rpg), assists (2.7 apg) and steals (1.9 spg).

The Philadelphia, Pa. native is the fourth Cowgirl to be named a first-team all-district selection.

To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.20 and must have completed at least one full academic year at their nominating institution. This year's All-America squad will be announced on Feb. 26.
