Danielle Green Named Second-Team Academic All-American

With a 3.76 GPA in education, Green was one of five players named to the squad's second team. In addition to Green, Tennessee's Nicky Anosike, Megan Frazee of Liberty University, Lauren Kohn of Ohio University and Crystal Langhorne of the University of Maryland were all second-team selections.
A native of Philadelphia, Green currently ranks second on the squad in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals and has helped the Cowgirls to a 21-5 record as well as a spot in the national rankings.
Earlier this month, Green was named to the Big 12 Conference Winter Sports Good Works Team.
Green is the first Cowgirl to receive Academic All-America honors since Jennifer Crow earned first-team honors during the 1999-2000 season.
To be eligible for All-America consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director.
Since the program's inception in 1952, CoSIDA has bestowed Academic All-America honors on more than 14,000 student-athletes in Divisions I, II, III and NAIA covering all NCAA championship sports.
