Andrea Riley Named Big 12 Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas—Oklahoma State junior Andrea Riley was named the Big 12 Player of the Week after guiding the Cowgirls to a 3-0 record last week.
Riley averaged 23.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 9.0 assists and 3.0 steals during those three contests. She scored 14 points, had four steals, six assists and five rebounds in the Cowgirls' 58-48 win over Oral Roberts on Tuesday.
Riley then earned tournament MVP honors after leading OSU to the championship of the Desert Draw in Las Vegas. On Friday, she scored a season-high 35 points and matched her career high with 11 assists in a 75-72 win over Southern Miss. Riley followed that with 22 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and a pair of steals against UNLV in the championship game.
With her totals from last week, Riley has four double-doubles on the season.
The distinction marks the sixth Big 12 weekly honor for Riley, who has been named the player of the week on three occasions and was the league's rookie of the week three times as a freshman.
