Cowgirls Roll Past New Orleans, 84-54

STILLWATER, Okla. ÂOklahoma State's women's basketball team won its third consecutive game on Wednesday night, defeating New Orleans, 84-54, in front of 3,127 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Junior Tegan Cunningham scored a career-high 23 points for the 18th-ranked Cowgirls (3-1) and sparked a key 12-0 run in the second half. The Melbourne, Australia native hit back-to-back 3-point field goals as OSU turned a 16-point lead into a 28-point lead with 7:30 left.
The Cowgirls took advantage of a 32-9 differential from the free-throw line against the Lady Privateers (2-2). OSU converted 25 of its attempts, while UNO made six of its attempts on the night.
Cunningham also pulled seven rebounds and added three steals in just her fourth career Division I game.
Fellow junior Andrea Riley added 21 points for the Cowgirls. The Dallas, Texas native converted 10 of her 14 free-throw attempts on the night to help extend her string of 20-point performances to 15-straight games. Riley also recorded five assists and five steals on the night.
For the third consecutive game, sophomore Kristin Hernandez contributed a double-digit scoring effort from the bench with 11 points.
Junior Megan Byford was solid off the bench as well with nine points and eight rebounds.
Candice McGee led the Lady Privateers with 12 points.
OSU will return to action on Dec. 6 when it will travel to Arkansas-Little Rock.
