Cowboy Duo Takes Regional Championship, Qualifies for Nationals

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The number one seeded Nathan Byrnes/ Oleksandr Nedovyesov tandem handily defeated Nebraska's doubles squad to prevail as champions of the 2008 Wilson/ITA Central Region Championships.
The Cowboy duo stormed past Nebraska's freshmen Maor Aumueller and Benedikt Lindheim, 8-2, in the finals match thanks to precision placement and dominating serves from Nedovyesov.
Nebraska was no match for the No. 10 doubles team in the nation, which has now qualified for the ITA National Indoor Championships to be held Nov. 6-9 in Charlottesville, Va.
No. 1 Nedovyesov will compete in the tournament in both the singles and doubles draw having qualified for singles last week in the All-American Championship.
