Series History the Horns
This will be the 71st meeting between these two schools on the hardwood all-time, and the 27th meeting since the Big 12 Conference was formed.
OSU is 34-36 all-time vs. Texas and 10-15 since the Big 12 formed, including five meetings in the Big 12 Tournament.
The Longhorns have won the last two meetings and five of the last seven contests. The Cowboys are 7-6 in the last 13 meetings.
The longest winning streak in the series for OSU was seven victories from 1993 until 1995. The longest losing streak for the Cowboys in the series was 11 from 1966 until 1970.
Five games in the series have gone into overtime, including last years triple-overtime thriller in Stillwater. OSU is 2-3 in those overtime games.
Cowboy senior Marcus Dove has played the Longhorns five times for a total of 134 minutes in his career, and he has yet to turn the ball over vs. Texas. He also matched his career high with 12 rebounds against Texas in the Big 12 Championship last season.
Overshawdowed in last years game in Stillwater was junior Terrel Harris, who scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the contest.
Junior Byron Eaton has started all five games against Texas in the last two seasons. He has 18 assists in those five games as well as nine steals.
From Long Range
Of OSUs 961 shot attempts this season, 366 have been from beyond the three-point arc, or 38.1 percent.
The highest percentage for a single season is 33.5 percent in 1998-99, when 643 of the Pokes 1,920 shots were from long range.
The Cowboys attempted 34 three-point shots against North Texas, the most in school history.
The previous record was 31 attempts from long range against Gonzaga in the All-College Classic in Oklahoma City on Dec. 28, 2004.
As a team, Oklahoma State has attempted 30 or more shots from beyond the arc on four occasions all-time, including twice this season (34 at North Texas, 32 vs. East Tennessee State).
On the flip side, OSU limited Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to just 1-of-18 shots from three-point range, establishing a Gallagher-Iba Arena record with at least 10 attempts. The previous low was 1-of-17 by Baylor on Jan. 20, 1999.
The Pokes held Northwestern State to 1-of-16 makes from long range and limited Texas Tech to just 1-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc.
Pick Pockets
Oklahoma State had 18 steals during the Prairie View A&M game, the second most in school history. The Pokes had 12 at halftime, establishing a school record for steals in a single period.
The Cowboys are currently averaging 9.88 steals per contest. The school record is nine thefts per game, set during the 1988-89 season.
Eaton Moving up Steals Chart

With three at Iowa State, he moved past Desmond Mason (158 steals), Victor Williams (158) and Byron Houston (159) and into fourth place on the all-time career steals list.
He needs eight steals to move into third place and 11 to become the all-time steals leader in school history.
He is just the fifth Cowboy in school history to have at least 10 games with four or more steals.
Eaton is only the seventh Cowboy to have recorded at least 250 assists and 150 steals in a career.
Dove Swatting Shots
Senior Marcus Dove has 82 career blocked shots and is in ninth place on the school career list.
He has blocked four shots on two occasions, including this year vs. NSU.

As one of the top defensive players in school history, Dove is just 13 defensive rebounds away from becoming the seventh player in school history to record 100 steals, 50 blocks and 250 defensive rebounds.
