OSU To ?Remember The 10? This Weekend
January 23, 2008 | Cowboy Basketball
Moments of silence will be observed at all three weekend home events as the Oklahoma State men's basketball team hosts Texas A&M at 1 p.m. on Saturday, the women's basketball teams hosts Kansas State at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday and the Cowboy wresting team hosts Iowa State at 6 p.m. Sunday night. At halftime of the men's game, a special presentation is planned.
The southwest lobby of Gallagher-Iba Arena, home to OSU's memorial, will open at 11 a.m. on Sunday and will remain available to the public throughout the day. On each anniversary, the memorial has been heavily decorated by family, friends and many others who are part of the extended OSU family.
Also on Sunday, at 6:37 p.m., the OSU Library Carillon will once again toll 10 times in honor of each of those who have been lost.
Dr. David Bosserman, OSU's Vice President for Administration, and his executive assistant, Nancy Horner, will depart for the Colorado memorial on Saturday. They will lay a wreath at the Colorado crash site as they have done on each of the anniversaries. Also part of the trip to Colorado is Richard Krysiak, who is the director of OSU's physical plant. He will be performing maintenance and making improvements at the Colorado memorial site.
The second annual “Remember The 10” run is set for April 19 in Stillwater. Last year, the inaugural run attracted more than 900 participants.
