11th-Ranked Cowboys Defeat ORU in Tulsa

The teams did not square off in doubles action, but in singles action, the Cowboys were led by sophomore Oleksandr Nedovyesov, who defeated ORU's top player, Katsiuk, 6-2, 6-3, in straight sets. In No. 3 singles, OSU sophomore Dmytro Petrov picked up a win, 6-2, 6-1, over ORU's Dennis Troyke.
OSU also picked up wins in No. 5 and No. 6 singles, as newcomers Anton Bobytskyi and Egor Sobolta each picked up their first victories as Cowboys.
Bobytskyi won in 6-4, 6-1, over ORU's Denis Balazinec, while Sobolta won 6-1, 6-2, over Clemons Geercken.
“It was a good match for us starting off the year,” said Cowboy assistant coach Yevgen Bondarchuk. “The guys played well, including our newcomers, so we are excited about moving forward from here.”
