April 28, 2007 | Cowboy Basketball
“It has always been my dream to play in the NBA, and so now I'm pursuing it,” said Curry. “I want to use this opportunity to test the waters and see where I fit into the upcoming draft. I want to make an informed decision about my future, and this will help me in that process.”
The draft will be held June 28. Curry has until June 18 to withdraw from the draft and return to Oklahoma State if he is not satisfied with his potential draft position and does not hire an agent.
“JamesOn and I have visited on several occasions about whether or not to enter his name into the NBA Draft,” said OSU head coach Sean Sutton. “Rules are in place now so that student-athletes can go through the process of the pre-draft workouts and can make an informative and educated decision on whether or not to keep their name in the draft. We will get all the necessary information so that he can make a wise career decision on his part.”
