- With its victory over Nebraska, Oklahoma State is now 14-8 all time in the Big 12 Championship.
- The win snapped OSU's three-game losing streak against the Huskers and was the first meeting between the two programs in the Big 12 Championship.
- With the win, OSU improved to 5-0 in the first round of the Big 12 Championship.
- Sophomore Byron Eaton recorded three steals against the Huskers, giving him 118 for his career and moving him past Randy Rutherford for 17th on the school's all-time list.
- Senior David Monds recorded one blocked shot against Nebraska, moving him into the top 20 on the school's all-time list with 41.
- Nebraska's 19 points in the first half matched the low point total by an OSU opponent in a half this season. The Cowboys also held Pepperdine to 19 points on Dec. 2.
- The 39 points scored by the Huskers was the lowest-ever point total by an OSU opponent in the Big 12 Championship, surpassing the previous low of 49 by Texas in 2004.
- The 39 points were also the fewest allowed in a game by OSU since the Cowboys held Northwestern (Okla.) State to 35 points on Dec. 21, 2004
- OSU held the Huskers to a 27.7 percent shooting effort from the floor, the lowest percentage by a Cowboy opponent this season and the lowest-ever field goal percentage by an OSU opponent in the Big 12 Championship.
