Quick Notes
Oklahoma State is playing Nebraska in the first of consecutive games against the Huskers. The last time OSU played a team in back-to-back games was in 1991-92, when the Cowboys played at Kansas State in the regular-season finale and also played the Wildcats in the first round of the Big Eight Tournament. OSU won both games.
Mondays game will mark the 31st contest of the regular season for OSU, establishing a school record. The Cowboys have played 30 regular-season games on three occasions: 1991-92, 2001-02 and 2005-06.
Oklahoma State is guaranteed a losing conference record for the second-consecutive season and just the third time in the 11-year history of the Big 12 Conference. OSU will have a non-winning league record for just the third time in the last 17 seasons.
OSU has yet to win a road game this season. The Cowboys are 0-7 on the road, one of just eight teams nationally that has failed to win a road contest. They are also the only team in NCAA Division I that has a winning record that has not yet won a road game.
Last Time Out
JamesOn Curry scored a career-high 40 points while Kenny Cooper set a personal best with 16, but it was not enough as the Cowboys lost to Baylor in Waco, 86-82.
Curry was 12-of-18 from the floor, including 7-of-10 from three-point range, and was also 9-of-9 from the free-throw line.
Cooper was 7-of-8 from the floor and 2-of-3 from the charity stripe.
Marcus Dove grabbed 10 rebounds for the Cowboys.
Obi Muonelo made his first appearance since breaking his leg on Dec. 16. He had missed eight games.
Mario Boggan sat out a one-game suspension and did not suit up against the Bears.
Baylor shot 60 percent from the floor, including 12-of-18 (66.7 percent) from beyond the three-point arc.
The Bears led by as many as 18 points in the second half, but OSU cut the lead to three with four minutes remaining.
More on the 40
Curry became just the third player in school history to record 40 or more points in a road game. Randy Rutherford scored 45 at Kansas on March 5, 1995, and Ed Odom scored 41 at Texas-Pan American on Dec. 22, 1979.
Curry is just the fifth player in school history to score 40 points in a game and the first junior to achieve that feat.
It was just the second 40-point game by a Cowboy in the last 27 years.
School Record for 35-Point Games
This season, the Mario Boggan and JamesOn Curry have combined to record five games of 35 points or more, the most in school history.
The most 35-point games before this season occurred in 1990-91, when Byron Houston recorded four by himself.
