Cowgirl Golfers Ranked Eighth Nationally

OSU moved up one spot from ninth in the Golf World Poll, receiving 406 points from the 24 coaches that vote. Duke is the top-ranked team nationally, garnering 16 first-place votes and 591 points. Arizona State is second with 576 points (six first-place votes) and Georgia is third with 559 points (two first-place votes). Pepperdine (515 points) and Auburn (504 points) round out the top-five teams.
According to the Golfweek computer rankings, Cowgirl sophomore Pernilla Lindberg is ranked 18th nationally. Fellow sophomore Karin Kinnerud is 42nd, while freshman Sarah Bradley is 69th. Senior Mallorie Underwood is 108th, sophomore Amanda Johnson is 174th and senior Candy Herrera ranks 175th as an individual.
Oklahoma State will return to action on March 30 as the Cowgirls travel to Tempe, Ariz., to compete in the PING/ASU Invitational. The Big 12 Championships will take place April 17-19 in Waco, Texas.
