On Oklahoma State's play against Texas
“I said from the start of conference play that when we shoot 40 percent from the field, we can beat anybody in the Big 12 Conference. Tonight, we ended up shooting 45 percent against a team that everybody has trouble scoring against. Texas is long, quick, athletic and deep. I was definitely worried about getting to that 40 percent mark tonight. I am very proud of my players on how they played tonight. I though (Andrea) Riley had a special night that she will never forget.”
On the play of Oklahoma State's defense
“I thought our defense was tremendous tonight. Texas has an All-American in (Tiffany) Jackson, and there is no question in my mind she will earn that honor. They (Texas) kind of go when she goes. She gets her 20-25 points and they will win. When she does not score that many that is when they struggle. So, we knew a point of emphasis tonight was try to keep her from scoring down low. Besides a couple of three-points shots she made tonight, I feel like we did a great job keeping track of her. With us changing up our defense I feel it kept them a little of balanced.”
On the play of Taylor Hardeman
“(Taylor) Hardeman impressed me a lot tonight. She is our best perimeter shooter at the guard position. You saw how important that was for her to step up and hit shots, especially when your playing a team like this that can clog up the middle. She is just reliable because as we change up defenses you know she will never miss an assignment, she will always be where she is supposed to be and does not turn the ball over that often. For the most part, she does not beat you. Whatever shot she makes is a big plus and tonight is one of those nights she will never forget.”
On the guarantee of playing in postseason
“Some of these players have never beaten a Big 12 South opponent before. I think it was special for them. We are still pushing for the NCAA Tournament. We always want Oklahoma State to go into every season with a goal of being in the postseason, whether it is the NCAA Tournament or the WNIT. We have talked about that from the start of the season that this should be a goal for this program every year. It is hard for me to comment too much about it too much knowing we made it. It is nice to know that we will finish with at least that .500 record to get into the WNIT. So, with the RPI of our conference and with the possibility of seven to nine teams making it to the NCAA Tournament we would be a good choice.”

Opposing Coach Quotes
Head coach Jody Conradt
On the game
“This isn't a hard story to write. One team came ready to play and played
really well and did a lot of things right, and one team didn't do very much
right. Oklahoma State played well. They looked like a team that was hungry for a win, a team that was glad to be home and unfortunately, we didn't respond to anything they did. So credit them.”
On early second-half surge
“I thought we still had a chance to get back in the game. That was about as poor of a half as I can remember this team playing, and that goes all the way back to the beginning of the season when we were trying to find
ourselves. I thought we did show a little spark in the second half, made
some lineup changes, got some things going. (We) went to the zone and that gave us a little opportunity, but when it got right down to crunch time, they answered.”
On strength of conference
“We all sit in a hotbed for girls basketball. There is no better basketball
at the high school level in the country than there is in Texas and Oklahoma and this part of the world. There are plenty of really good players and it just takes hard work. The programs that have been willing to dedicate themselves to getting out and recruiting and working hard to attract good players are going to have success.”
On her team's youth
“I think that we have really struggled at times and we didn't show very much maturity tonight. There have been times when we stepped up, and I thought played beyond our years, but tonight we looked pretty inexperienced.”
