Quick Notes
Three of the top-four scorers in the Big 12 Conference will be in action Saturday morning. OSUs Mario Boggan is second, Jarrius Jackson of Texas Tech is third and OSUs JamesOn Curry is fourth.
The Cowboys are 11-0 this season when outrebounding their opponent and just 8-8 when failing to do so. OSU outrebounded Tech in the first meeting, 42-39.
Oklahoma States only win over the last five games was the double-overtime victory against Texas Tech two weeks ago.
OSU is 7-4 on national television this season. Saturday will be the Cowboys first appearance on CBS Sports this year.
Two of the last three games between these two teams have gone into overtime.
Early Starts
Oklahoma State will start a basketball game before noon for just the sixth time in the last 12 seasons when the Cowboys and Red Raiders tip off at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
It marks the earliest start to a game for OSU since March 3, 1996, when Oklahoma State and Missouri tipped off at 11:05 a.m. in a game also televised by CBS Sports.
Recapping the First Tech Game
Mario Boggan scored 35 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as Oklahoma State defeated Texas Tech 93-91 in double overtime.
It was OSUs fourth overtime win of the season, and the third multiple-overtime game this year for the Cowboys.
JamesOn Curry and Terrel Harris each added 16 points for Oklahoma State.
The Cowboys shot 48.5 percent from the floor, including 9-of-19 from beyond the three-point arc.
The one flaw in OSUs game was at the charity stripe, where the Cowboys were just 20-of-30 from the line.
The Pokes also gave up 22 points on 17 turnovers.
Jarrius Jackson had 24 points while Martin Zeno added 21.
Cowboys Lose to Aggies in Stillwater
Oklahoma State shot just 30.2 percent from the floor and got outrebounded by a 44-33 count as the Texas A&M Aggies won in Stillwater for the first time since 1923.
JamesOn Curry was held below 10 points for the first time this season as he was limited to just 3-of-11 shooting.
Sophomores Byron Eaton and Kenny Cooper were the only players to reach double figures as Eaton scored 11 and Cooper 10.
It marked the lowest shooting percentage by OSU in a game since March 7, 1999, when the Cowboys shot just 23.1 percent vs. Kansas in the Big 12 Tournament.
It was the lowest shooting percentage by Oklahoma State in Gallagher-Iba Arena since Jan. 12, 1999, when the Pokes shot just 28.3 percent against Oklahoma.
The Cowboys 46 points were the lowest since scoring 43 on the Sooners in that game.
Oklahoma State tied a season low for turnovers with nine, but forced just six by the Aggies.
Texas A&M outscored OSU in the paint, 42-16.
Winless on the Road
Oklahoma State is one of just 11 teams nationally that have yet to win a true road game.
OSU is the only squad winless on the road with a winning overall record.
The Cowboys last road win came at Kansas State on Feb. 4, 2006, when OSU defeated the Wildcats 63-61.
The Pokes have lost nine straight on the opposing teams home court.
Others that have failed to win on the road are: Cincinnati (0-7), Baylor (0-8), Penn State (0-8), Arizona State (0-9), Alabama A&M (0-11), Texas-San Antonio (0-11), UMKC (0-12), Denver (0-13), Charleston Southern (0-14) and North Florida (0-14).
Against the Red Raiders
Oklahoma State has won seven of the last eight meetings with Texas Tech and 18 of the last 23 contests between these two teams.
The only loss in the last eight games was an overtime thriller last season in Lubbock when Jarrius Jackson hit a three pointer with three seconds left in regulation to send the game into OT. Two of the last three games have gone into overtime.
The Cowboys are 6-3 in Lubbock since the Big 12 formed in 1996-97.
Mario Boggan is averaging just under 25 points and just over 10 rebounds a game vs. Tech, including a 35-point, 14-rebound performance in the earlier game in Stillwater.
JamesOn Curry is averaging nearly 16 points and 5.4 assists per game vs. the Red Raiders.
Sophomores Byron Eaton and Terrel Harris have both scored 29 points in three games against Tech.
