Quick Notes
The Cowboys have a 245-30 record (89.1 winning percentage) inside Gallagher-Iba Arena over the past 19 seasons and have won at least 11 games each year at home over that span.
Oklahoma State has won 17 consecutive home games dating back to last season. That streak ranks as the ninth-longest current streak in the country by an NCAA Division I school.
The Cowboys are 9-1 this season in games decided by six or fewer points. The lone loss was a two-point decision at Tennessee.
Oklahoma State is 11-0 when outrebounding its opponent and 12-1 when committing fewer turnovers than the opponent.
The Cowboys are undefeated when scoring 80 or more points in a game (11-0).
Cowboys Split Season Series with Texas
The second edition of the OSU-Texas game never lived up to its billing as the Longhorns defeated the Cowboys 83-54 in the rematch.
Mario Boggan scored a team-high 16 points while JamesOn Curry added 12 and Byron Eaton scored 11 points.
All five Texas starters reached double figures, including a game-high 21 points and 12 rebounds by freshman Kevin Durant.
No Cowboy recorded more than four rebounds.
Texas shot 56 percent from the floor, including 68 percent in the second period when the Longhorns outscored the Cowboys 52-30.
The game was still within reach with 16 minutes remaining and OSU was down just eight points at 41-33. But the Horns outscored the Pokes 31-16 over the next 11 minutes to put Oklahoma State away.
Cowboys Look to Extend Homecourt Winning Streak
Oklahoma State has won the last 17 games inside Gallagher-Iba Arena, which ties for the seventh-longest streak in school history.
The longest homecourt winning streak in school history was 49 consecutive victories from Jan. 9, 1936, until Dec. 21, 1940.
The longest streak in recent memory was 29 from March 8, 2003, until March 2, 2005.
The streak currently ties for the 10th-longest active string of wins in the country. A win Saturday would move the streak into a tie for eighth place.
OSU in OT Games
Last Saturdays double-overtime win against Texas Tech was the 104th in school history. OSU is 60-44 in extra-period games.
Oklahoma State is 32-11 in overtime games at home and 12-6 in multiple-overtime games.
OSU played its first triple-overtime game for since Feb. 5, 1983, earlier this season when the Cowboys and Longhorns dueled to a 105-103 game back in January.
The Tech game marked Oklahoma States fourth overtime game of the season, tying for the most in a single-season in school history.
OSU has now played eight overtime periods this season. That total ranks as the most in school history.
The Cowboys are 4-0 in their overtime games this season. It is the best overtime record since 1964-65, when OSU was also 4-0 in overtime contests.
More on the Extra Periods
Oklahoma State has played eight overtime periods this season, the equivalent of a full 40-minute game.
The statistics from those eight periods have compiled as follows: OSU 25-of-52 from the floor, including 2-of-8 from beyond the arc; 35-of-48 from the free-throw line; 87 total points. Opponents 22-of-56 from the field, including 7-of-20 from long range; 23-of-30 from the charity stripe; 74 total points.
Cowboy senior Mario Boggan has been outstanding in the overtime periods. In 39 minutes of play (out of a possible 40), he has scored 40 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and dished out five assists. Hes shooting 58 percent (11-of-19) from the floor and 89.5 percent (17-of-19) from the free-throw line. Most amazing ... no turnovers in any of the eight OT periods.
Against the Tigers
Oklahoma State has won seven of the last 12 meetings against Missouri. The Tigers have won three of the last four and four of the last six.
The last time Missouri won in Stillwater was Feb. 13, 1996. OSU has won the five games since then played in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Excluding OSUs eight-point loss last season in Columbia, the average scoring margin in the Cowboys previous three losses was just two points (lost 72-69, 60-58 and 93-92 in double overtime).
Twenty-nine of Missouris 71 victories in the series came during a 35-game span between 1969-83.
One of the biggest shots in OSU basketball history came against Missouri. Bryant Reeves hit a halfcourt shot to send the game into overtime and the Cowboys eventually defeated the Tigers 77-73 on Feb. 24, 1993.
