Cowgirl Basketball Picks Up Road Win Against Missouri

The win gave OSU (17-7 overall, 5-6 Big 12) its first back-to-back conference wins since the 2003-04 season and snapped its four-game losing streak against the Tigers (14-10, 2-9).
The Cowgirls took the lead in the early going before Missouri used a 7-0 run to go out in front at 17-16. However, OSU answered with a 20-0 run to build an 19-point lead that included seven points from freshman Andrea Riley.
During that stretch, the Tigers were held scoreless for more than seven minutes.
Riley, who was coming off a career-high 21-point effort in OSU's win over Texas on Wednesday night, finished with 18 points. The Dallas, Texas native also dished out seven assists to set the school's all -time freshman record. Riley now has 121 assists on the year, besting the previous mark of 119 set by Liz Brown during the 1987-88 season.
OSU held Missouri scoreless over the final 4:17 of the half and pushed the lead to 45-21 with 30 seconds left on a layup by senior Brisa Silva, who scored the last six points of the half.
The Tigers turned the momentum back in their favor with a 15-4 run in the second half to cut the deficit to 54-40 at the 12:02 mark before junior Danielle Green answered with five consecutive points.
The Cowgirls shot 56 percent from the floor for the game and were paced offensively by Green's 19 points, while senior Rashidat Sadiq chipped in with 18 points.
OSU will be back in action on Feb. 14 when it travels to Waco, Texas to take on Baylor at 7 p.m.
