Freshman guard James Anderson has recorded double-figure scoring in the first eight games this season. That is the second-longest streak by a true freshman to start a season in school history. Current Cowboy Obi Muonelo holds the record at 10 straight.
The Junction City, Ark., native scored at least 20 points for the fifth time this season. That ties Byron Houston for the second-most 20-point games by a freshman in school history.
Andersons six three-pointers made is the most by a Cowboy this season.
Senior forward Marcus Dove moved into the top-25 of the school career steals list. He currently has 97, surpassing Daniel Bobik who had 95 from 2003-05.
Junior guard Byron Eaton became just the 17th player in school history to record 250 career assists.
Oklahoma State is 141-3 in non-conference home games over the past 21 seasons.
The Cowboys have hit at least 10 three-pointers in a game on four occasions this season. Tonights 13 are the most in a game this season and the most since hitting 14 at Nebraska last season, a span of 12 games.
Oklahoma State has forced at least 20 turnovers in six of eight games this season.
This was just the second game in the Sean Sutton era that OSU won despite allowing the opponent to shoot 50 percent or better. Syracuse shot 51 percent last season in the Jimmy V Classic. OSU won that game, 72-68.
