On Oral Roberts
“First of all, I want to give Oral Roberts credit and give their coaching staff credit for coming in and playing a heck of a game tonight. I said it before the game – they are very dangerous, they have a lot of people that can score, they are well coached, and they are going to win their league. I think any mid-major team that wins their league is dangerous to any team in the major conferences. They can jump on anybody on any given night."
On The Cowgirls
“Having said that, I wasn't very pleased with our effort tonight. I didn't think our concentration was very good. I didn't think our toughness was very good. There are no excuses. They just out-played us and out-toughed us most of the night, and we have to get better. There are not a lot of teams that we would have beaten in the Big 12 tonight. I want our girls to see the big picture on this and that is the wins are nice, but we have to get to another level if we are going to win in the Big 12.”
On the final minutes of the first half when his team opened a big lead
“If you want to find one positive tonight, it would be that period before the half. Andrea (Riley) was on the bench and Maria Cordero was on the bench ... that is where we got our spread right there. If you are looking for one positive tonight, it is there. When your leading scorer is on the bench and struggling in the first half, and you get that spread that won the game right there. That is a positive. I'll give you one positive and that is it right there. That is it.”
