Cowgirls Return Home To Face Central Arkansas
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (9-1) will play its first home game since Dec. 4 on Saturday when it hosts Central Arkansas (2-8) at 11:30 a.m. Tip time was originally scheduled for 7 p.m., but was moved due to the possibility of inclement weather.
The Cowgirls, who are currently ranked 20th in the Associated Press Poll and 23rd in the ESPN/USA Today Poll, are coming off a two-game road swing through the state of Texas that saw them finish at 1-1.
On Tuesday, OSU suffered its first loss of the season at TCU before rebounding the following night with a 22-point victory at North Texas.
About The Sugar Bears
Central Arkansas comes to town looking to snap a three-game losing streak after suffering a 121-48 loss at Oklahoma on Thursday night. The Sugar Bears opened the 2007-08 campaign with five losses before logging back-to-back wins, including a 10-point road victory at Grambling. Overall, UCA is 1-4 on the road this season.
Freshman Meagan Nickell, a native of Jenks, Okla., enters the weekend as the squad's top scorer at 11 points per game and is joined in double figures by sophomore Meaghen Kelleybrew at 10.8 points per game and freshman Kia Lee at 10.2 points per contest. Freshman Laura Beth Anderson enters play as the squad's leading rebounder at 7.2 boards per contest.

Saturday's meeting will be the first between the two schools.

Saturday's contest will be the first of three consecutive home games for OSU to close out its non-conference schedule ... the Cowgirls have won 20 consecutive home games against non-conference foes ... Andrea Riley is closing in on a pair of milestones as she enters play six points shy of the 600-point plateau and six assists shy of reaching the 200-assist mark ... there have been only 14 previous Cowgirls reach the 200-assist mark.
