Cowgirl Basketball To Host East Central In Exhibition Contest
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team will close out its exhibition schedule on Tuesday night when it plays host to East Central for the second consecutive season. OSU tipped off the 2007-08 season on Friday night with a 99-57 victory over the Oklahoma Flyers inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. Tuesday's contest is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. and will precede the Cowboy basketball team's final exhibition contest of the season as well.
OSU In Exhibition Play
OSU has won all five of its exhibition contests under head coach Kurt Budke, including last season's 83-35 win over East Central. The Cowgirls have won seven consecutive exhibitions overall with their last exhibition setback coming on Nov. 13, 2003 against Northwest Sports Tours.
About The Lady Tigers
East Central opened exhibition play on Saturday with a 73-67 setback at Oklahoma City. The Lady Tigers had four players reach double figures in the scoring column and were led by Lacey Goldwire and Kristie Dodgion, who each scored 15 points, while Jastin Flenory grabbed a game-high eight rebounds against the Stars.
The Series
Tuesday's contest will mark the second consective year the Lady Tigers have traveled to Stillwater for an exhibition contest. ECU won the first-ever matchup against OSU during the 1973-74 season. However, OSU has won the last four meetings, including last season's 83-35 win.
