Cowboys host Baylor Bears
Oklahoma State opens the Big 12 Conference portion of its schedule this Saturday as the Cowboys host the Baylor Bears.
OSU is 14-1 this season and coming off a record-setting performance against NCAA Division II Southwestern Oklahoma State.
Baylor is 10-3 this season and coming off a 76-63 victory over Centenary Tuesday night in Waco.
Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. and the game will be televised statewide by the Cowboy Sports Network.
John Holcomb, sports director at KOTV-CBS 6 in Tulsa will handle the play-by-play duties while former Cowboy Bryndon Manzer will provide expert analysis.
The game will be televised on KOCB Channel 11 in Stillwater and Oklahoma City, KYMT Channel 10 in Tulsa and on Fox Sports Southwest in other parts of Oklahoma and some parts of Texas.
Game Rewind Highlights
Mario Boggan scored a career-high 36 points and JamesOn Curry added 31 as the Cowboys established a school record for points with a 129-77 victory over Southwestern Oklahoma State.
Six players scored in double figures for the Pokes as OSU scored 72 points in the second period.
David Monds scored a career-high 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
Byron Eaton scored a season-high 15 points and dished out eight assists.
Marcus Dove scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds while Kenny Cooper had 11 points and nine rebounds.
Tyler Hatch recorded career bests for points (5), rebounds (5) and assists (7).

Oklahoma States 129 points against Southwestern Oklahoma State established a school record.
The previous record was 127 points scored vs. Santa Fe on Dec. 3, 1977.
OSUs 44 field goals ties for the sixth most in a single game in school history.
The 34 free throws made ties for the eight-best mark in school history.
Oklahoma State grabbed 54 rebounds, tying for the 15th most in a game in team history.
It marked just the second time in school history that two Cowboys have scored 30 or more points in the same game.
Fred Burley (35), Brooks Thompson (33) and Bryant Reeves (31) all scored 30 or more points against Oral Roberts on March 4, 1993.
Oklahoma State Among Nations Best
Oklahoma State is one 15 one-loss teams nationally and one of just five teams that has won at least 14 games this season as of Thursday.
Others 14-game winners are: Clemson (15-0), Wisconsin and Air Force (14-1) and UNLV (14-2).
Oklahoma States 93.3 winning percentage is the fifth-best mark in the country.
When combined with the Cowgirl Basketball program, Oklahoma State as a whole is sporting a 25-2 record.
That ranks as the fifth-best combined record in the country.
20-Point Productions
Mario Boggan scored a career-high 36 points and JamesOn Curry added 31 against Southwestern Oklahoma State, giving OSU its 18th and 19th 20-point performances of the season.
OSU didnt have a 20-point performer last season until the ninth game, when Curry scored 30 points against Mercer.
Last year, the Cowboys had 14 20-point outings all season long.
Mario Boggan has 11 20-point games this season, while Curry has seven. Terrel Harris had his first of the season with 20 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
30-Point Productions
Currys 31-point performance against SWOSU was the third of his career.
He is one of just nine Cowboys in school history to record 30 or more points in at least three games.
Boggans 36-point outing was the second of his career, making him one of 18 Pokes to have multiple 30-point games.
Byron Houston holds the school record for the most 30 point games with 12. Bryant Reeves had 10, while Ed Odom and Randy Rutherford each had six. Desmond Mason had five and Ronnie Daniel had four.
Balanced Attack
Oklahoma State has had 64 double-figure performances by seven different players this season.
Mario Boggan and JamesOn Curry have both reached double figures in all 15 games.
Freshman Obi Muonelo and sophomore Terrel Harris have both reached double figures in 10 games.
OSU has had five double-figure scorers in seven different games this season: Florida Atlantic, Sam Houston State, Missouri State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Pepperdine, Pittsburgh and Southwestern Oklahoma State.
Oklahoma State has had at least three double-figure scorers in all 15 games this season.
Cowboys One-Two Punch
Oklahoma States Mario Boggan and JamesOn Curry are currently averaging a combined 40.6 points per game.
That total is the second-best in the country by a combo of players on the same team, trailing only Virginia Military Institutes Reggie Williams (26.7 points per game) and Chavis Holmes (20.1 ppg). Thats an average of 46.8 points per game.
The VMI squad is averaging 102.1 points per game, with games of 156 points against Virginia Intermont, 144 vs. Southern Virginia and 135 against Lees-McRae.
OSUs duo currently ranks third in school history for scoring combos.
The top duo in school history was Ed Odom (24.2 ppg) and Don Youman (17.0 ppg) in 1979-80. The averaged 41.2 combined points per game.
Second place goes to Bryant Reeves (21.5 ppg) and Randy Rutherford (19.6 ppg) in 1994-95. They totalled 41.1 points per contest.
Oklahoma State in the Polls
Oklahoma State is ranked 12th in both the most recent Associated Press poll and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.
Oklahoma State was predicted to finish third in the Big 12 Conference in a poll of the coaches before the season started.
The Cowboys received 97 points, just two points ahead of Texas.
Oklahoma State plays five games this season against teams currently ranked in one of the top-25 polls: No. 9/9 Kansas (in Lawrence next week), No. 10/10 Pittsburgh (won 95-89 in double overtime in the All-College Classic), No. 11/11 Texas A&M (in Stillwater and in College Station), and No. 19/25 Tennessee (lost 79-77 in Nashville).
Four other opponents (Missouri, Missouri State, Syracuse, Texas) are receiving votes in at least one of the polls.
Boggan Efficient
Senior forward Mario Boggans career shooting percentage currently sits at just under 60 percent.
That average ranks him as the most prolific shooter in school history.
Bryant Reeves currently holds the school record for career field-goal shooting at 58.5 percent.
Another statistic that isnt kept officially but is very informative is scoring efficiency.
This is determined by how many points are scored per field goal attempt.
Boggans career scoring efficiency is currently at 1.610, meaning he has scored 1.6 points for every FG attempt.
Byron Houston and Bryant Reeves had career scoring efficiencies of 1.585 and 1.583, respectively.
The NCAA record holder for career field goal percentage is Oregon States 6-10 Steve Johnson, who scored 2,035 career points on 1,222 field goal attempts, a 1.665 scoring efficiency.
Cooper Improving
Center Kenny Cooper has really improved over the past three contests.
The 6-10 sophomore scored a season-high 11 points on 4-of-4 shooting from the floor and 3-of-5 from the free-throw line against the Volunteers.
He followed that up with 12 points, tying a career high, on 4-of-8 shooting from the floor and 4-of-4 from the line against Pittsburgh.
In his most recent outing against UT-San Antonio, Cooper recorded career highs in both points (15) and rebounds (8).
Cooper scored 11 points, his fourth-consecutive double-figure scoring game, against Southwestern Oklahoma State.
In the last four games, Kenny is averaging 12.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and has just three turnovers in 104 minutes of play.
Eaton More Productive
Point guard Byron Eaton has been improving steadily over the past five games.
Before the Ball State game, he was averaging 4.5 points and 3.3 assists per game.
Over the last five contests, Eaton has averaged 9.0 points and 5.0 assists per game.
He had seven points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals against Ball State.
Against No. 7-ranked Pittsburgh, he scored 10 points, dished out four assists and grabbed three rebounds.
He scored a season-high 15 points and matched a season high with eight assists against Southwestern Oklahoma State.
Curry Hits Milestone
Cowboy junior JamesOn Curry became the 29th player in school history to reach 1,000 career points with his three-pointer at the 14:31 mark of the first half against UTSA.
He is the seventh player in school history to reach the 1,000 point mark in his junior season and is the 10th-fastest to that mark in terms of games played (80th game).
Curry currently ranks 25th on the career scoring list and needs 72 points to match his former teammate John Lucas who scored 1,111 points in two seasons with OSU.
Curry Moving up the Charts
Cowboy junior JamesOn Curry is listed on several of the Cowboy career charts in his third season in an OSU uniform.
Curry is four assists away from becoming the 13th player in school history to record 300 assists.
He currently ranks 13th in school history. He surpassed both Seaon Sutton (291) and John Lucas (293) with six assists vs. Southwestern State on Tuesday night.
