Cowgirl Basketball Falls At Texas Tech In Big 12 Opener

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP)--Alesha Robertson scored a game-high 18 points and freshman Raquel Christian added 13 points off the bench to lead Texas Tech over Oklahoma State 75-49 Saturday night.
Tech (10-6, 1-1 Big 12), up 15 at halftime, allowed the Cowgirls to cut the deficit to 37-30 three minutes into the second half. But from that point the Lady Raiders, powered by 10 points from Christian and nine from Chesley Dabbs, outscored Oklahoma State 38-19 to close out the game.
The Lady Raiders scored 22 points off turnovers.
Tech shot 9 of 17 from beyond the 3-point arc, with seven of those coming from Robertson and Christian.
Oklahoma State (12-2, 1-1) had its four-game winning streak snapped. Andrea Riley finished with a team-high 13 points for the Cowgirls, and Rashidat Sadiq added 12.
Robertson scored 14 of her 18 points in the first half while Dabbs finished with 11.
