Cowboy Tennis Climbs to No. 14 in Latest ITA Rankings

Oklahoma State's unbeaten tennis team has risen to No. 14 in the latest rankings that were released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Tuesday.
Head coach James Wadley's Cowboys are 3-0 and are the second-highest ranked team in the Big 12, trailing only No. 2 Baylor. It is the highest the Cowboy tennis program has been ranked since May 2, 2005 when they were ranked 13th.
In fact, it is the highest ranking achieved by a Wadley-coached squad this early in the spring season.
The Cowboys are 3-0 this season after defeating No. 60 Oklahoma and No. 27 Tulsa, both 4-3, in the Central Region qualifier. The Pokes also defeated No. 47 Louisiana-Lafayette last Sunday, 7-0.
The wins at the Central Region qualifier advanced O-State to the 2007 USTA/ITA National Men's Indoor Championship Feb.16-19 at the Midtown Tennis Club in Chicago, Ill.
OSU will next be in action it faces 46th-ranked Fresno State at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa on Sunday at noon.
