 Oklahoma State trailed at halftime for just the third time this season. The other two games were at Kansas and at Texas A&M. OSU lost both games.
 The Cowboys extended their homecourt winning streak to 16 games, currently tied for the 13th-longest string in the country. It is also tied for the eighth-longest streak in school history.
 The win broke OSU's streak of three-consecutive losses at home to schools from the Big 12 North Division.
 With the victory, Sean Sutton is now 18-3 in his career. That win total already ranks tied for eighth among Oklahoma State's 17 head coaches of basketball. The others, in order, are: Henry Iba (655 wins), Eddie Sutton (368), Paul Hansen (107), John Maulbetsch (75), Leonard Hamilton (56), Guy Strong (39) and Jim Killingsworth (22). He has tied John Griffith and Sam Aubrey for eighth place with 18 victories.
 Terrel Harris scored 21 points, tying his career high. It is also his second 20-point game of the season and the third of his career.
 JamesOn Curry has now reached double figures in all 21 games this season.
 Tonight marked the 100th game in Gallagher-Iba Arena since the renovation. OSU is 89-11 in those games.
 The Cowboys held Iowa State to just 32.2 percent shooting from the floor, the lowest by an opponent this season.
 Oklahoma State has a season-low nine turnovers against the Cyclones.
