Cowgirls Set To Host Texas Tech On Saturday
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (14-3 overall, 2-2 Big 12) will play the second of four consecutive home games on Saturday when it hosts Texas Tech (11-7, 2-2) at 11 a.m. The game will be carried by Fox Sports Net with Kevin Eschenfelder handling the play-by-play and Debbie Antonelli serving as the color analyst. The matchup will be the second meeting between the two schools in two weeks as the Lady Raiders defeated the Cowgirls, 75-49, on Jan. 6 in Lubbock.
Scouting The Lady Raiders
The Lady Raiders come to town fresh off a 63-55 win over Missouri on Wednesday night. First-year Tech head coach Kristy Curry's squad is led by Alesha Robertson, who is the squad's top scorer (13.3 ppg) and rebounder (8.9 rpg). The senior forward led the way with 18 points, including a 4-of-5 effort from the 3-point line in Tech's win over OSU earlier this year. The Lady Raiders have a 1-5 mark on the road this season with the lone victory coming at Houston.
Series History
The Lady Raiders own a 24-12 advantage all time in the series with the Cowgirls ... after its win on Jan. 6, Tech has won six consecutive in the series ... OSU's last win was an 88-87 double-overtime victory on Jan. 24, 2004 over Tech, which was ranked third nationally at the time ... the Lady Raiders have won two consecutive in Stillwater to even the series at eight apiece inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
What 2 Watch 4
A win would be OSU's third Big 12 victory of the season, marking its most conference victories since winning three Big 12 games in 2003-04 ... a win would also give OSU its best start in league play since winning three of its first five games during the 1999-2000 campaign.
