Cowgirl Basketball Puts Winning Streak On The Line Against Oklahoma
Riding a two-game conference winning streak, Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (14-2 overall, 2-1 Big 12) enters Wednesday's 7 p.m. contest against Oklahoma (13-1, 3-0) looking to end a 15-game losing streak against the Sooners. The Cowgirls halted their 26-game road losing streak against Big 12 schools on Saturday night with their 45-44 win at Iowa State, while OU has won four consecutive outings entering the Bedlam matchup.
Scouting The Sooners
No. 7 Oklahoma will be the first ranked foe for the Cowgirls this season and has won 22 consecutive games against Big 12 competition. The Sooners' lone loss came on Dec. 20 against then-No. 8 Ohio State. OU is led by preseason Big 12 Player of the Year Courtney Paris, who is tops in the league in scoring (23.4 ppg) and rebounding (15.5 rpg). Sherri Coale is in her 11th season at the helm of the Sooner program and has compiled a career record of 217-114.
