Cowgirl Golf Remains In 11th Place At NCAA Central Regional

Oklahoma State's women's golf team carded a 311 team total during its second round at the NCAA Central Regional on Friday at Traditions Golf Club to remain in 11th place.
The 17th-ranked Cowgirls started the day in the 11th spot after posting a 26-over-par 314 during Thursday's first round. OSU will begin play during tomorrow's final round with a 625 total and 31 shots off the pace of tournament leader Duke.The top-eight teams and two individuals will advance to the NCAA Championships, May 23-26, in Columbus, Ohio. The Blue Devils' Amanda Blumenherst stands atop the individual leaderboard with a two-round total of 145 after carding a 75 during her second round.
Cowgirl freshman Karin Kinnerud followed up her opening round of 74 with a 78 to come in tied for 19th place at 152, while fellow freshman Pernilla Lindberg rebounded from her first-round 81 with a 76 to move into a tie for 45th place at 157.
After posting an 80 on Friday, freshman Amanda Johnson dipped into a tie for 53rd with at 158. Junior Mallorie Underwood shaved five strokes off her first-round score with a 77 to come in at 152 and tied for 60th place.
Junior Candie Herrera rounded out the lineup with a 161 total after coming in with a 60 to stand alone in 60th place.
The tournament will conclude on Saturday with 18 holes at the par-72, 6,289-yard layout.
