Cowgirl Golfers to compete in Susie Maxwell Berning Classic

Oklahoma State's 20th-ranked Cowgirl golf team will travel to Norman, Okla., this weekend to compete in the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic. It will be OSU's first appearance in the tournament since 1995, when the Cowgirls finished second in the event.

The tournament will consist of 54 holes with 36 played on Sunday and 18 played on Monday. Both days will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start at the Jimmie Austin Golf Course. The course plays to a par 72 and 6,013 yards.

Other teams competing in the tournament include Baylor, Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas from the Big 12. Other particpants are UALR, Missouri State, North Texas, Oklahoma City, Oral Roberts, SMU, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UTEP and Wichita State.

This will be Oklahoma State's final regular-season tournament of the season. The Cowgirls will next compete in the Big 12 Championships, April 17-19, in Lincoln, Neb.
