It will be Bedlam on Saturday at 2 p.m. when Oklahoma State's 21st-ranked men's tennis team will look to conclude the regular season with a victory when they host No. 54 Oklahoma.
“OU is always the biggest match of the year for us,” OSU coach James Wadley said. “The matches have been close the past few years, including our 4-3 win last year.”
The Cowboys (14-4, 3-3) return to Big 12 action for the first time in nearly two weeks. OSU is coming off of a 4-3 victory over No. 43 Arkansas on Tuesday.
The Sooners (14-10, 1-5) enter the contest losers of seven straight with the most recent coming on Tuesday at Tulsa.
While they have struggled of late, Wadley said the Sooners have two solid doubles tandems that the Cowboys will have to fight off.
“Their No.1 and No. 2 doubles are leading the conference,” Wadley said. “With the way matches have gone in this series recently, we'll need to get the doubles point.”
There will be free T-shirts given to the first 150 fans to show up to the Jack DeBois Tennis Complex, as well as free pizza and soft drinks for everyone following the doubles matches.
With the spring football game scheduled for 5 p.m., Wadley said fans should make it a day of OSU sports.
“Before the football game, fans need to come support us in what should be a tough, exciting Bedlam matchup.”
