Cowgirls move up to sixth place at Bryan National Collegiate

Freshman Pernilla Lindberg is tied for seventh individually after shooting a one-under-par 71 during Saturday's round. She is just two strokes back of a trio sitting atop the individual leaderboard. Fellow freshman Karin Kinnerud is in 18th place with a two-round total of 151. Senior Jennifer Karr and junior Candie Herrera are tied for 52nd with a 157, while junior Mallorie Underwood moved up 17 spots to 56th place with a 76 during Saturday's round.
Lindberg had five birdies and four bogeys for her one-under round. She was three under par through 10 holes, but bogeyed two of the final eight. Herrera eagled the par-5 sixth hole.
Sixth-ranked Georgia is the team leader after shooting a 291 during Saturday's round and has a team score of 591. Top-ranked Duke is in second place, two strokes back at 593. Eight-ranked Purdue, which led after the first round, dropped to third place with a 594, while No. 13 Tennessee is in fourth with a 600. South Carolina rounds out the top-five teams with a 604, just two strokes ahead of Oklahoma State and Wake Forest.
The tournament will conclude on Sunday with a final round of 18 holes.
