Cowboys face Miami, Fla., in first round of NIT

Oklahoma State's Cowboy Basketball team will travel to Miami, Fla., to take on the Miami Hurricanes on Wednesday, March 15, in the first round of the 2006 National Invitation Tournament, it was announced Sunday night. Game time is set for 8 p.m. Central Time, and the game will be televised by ESPNU.

The Cowboys are 17-15 overall and finished tied for seventh in the Big 12 Conference. OSU is coming off a 63-62 loss to 18th-ranked Kansas in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Championships. Miami is 16-15 overall this season and finished tied for seventh in the highly competitive Atlantic Coast Conference, losing to top-ranked Duke in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament 80-76.
