Cowgirls Ready To Host Baylor On Saturday

Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (6-14, 0-9) returns home to face its second consecutive ranked opponent when the 10th-ranked Baylor Lady Bears (15-4, 5-3) come to town for a 7 p.m. contest on Saturday. The Cowgirls are still in search of their first conference win of the season after Tuesday night's 70-54 setback at Oklahoma, while Baylor is coming off an 88-57 loss at LSU on Monday night.
Scouting The Lady Bears
The Lady Bears were riding a two-game winning streak after defeating Iowa State and Kansas before stepping out of league play for a Monday night contest at LSU that resulted in an 88-57 loss. The first meeting of the season between the Lady Bears and Cowgirls came on Jan. 11 in Waco with Baylor prevailing 57-26. With the win, Baylor improved to 16-7 all-time against OSU and has now won the last six meetings between the two clubs. The Cowgirls' last victory in the series came on Feb. 19, 2003, a 64-55 win in Stillwater. Sophia Young leads the defending national champions with her 20.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. The senior's point total currently ranks second in the Big 12, while her rebounding numbers rank third in the league. Angela Tisdale is the only other player averaging double figures in scoring at 13.7 points.
