Cowgirls Set For Home Contest Against Texas

Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (6-17, 0-12) will look to rebound from a heartbreaking loss on Wednesday when it takes on Texas (12-11, 6-6) on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Cowgirls suffered a 69-65 loss to Missouri in a game that went down to the wire, while the Longhorns come to town having lost their last three games after Wednesday's 61-54 loss to Oklahoma.
Scouting The Longhorns
Texas comes to town having lost three contests in a row after Wednesday night's loss against Oklahoma. All three of those losses came in Austin, while the Longhorns last win was a 69-64 victory at Colorado. Jody Conradt's club has posted a 2-6 record this season in road games. In addition to its win in Boulder, UT also won at Nebraska. Junior Tiffany Jackson checks in as the team's leading scorer and rebounder at 14.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. She also has a team-high 54 steals on the season. Freshman Erika Arriaran and senior Nina Norman are also averaging double figures for the Longhorns, adding 10.8 points apiece. On Jan. 28, UT defeated the Cowgirls, 60-46, in Austin to run their winning streak to 12 games in the series. Overall, the Longhorns lead the series by a 19-3 count. UT has won seven of the nine meetings in Stillwater as well. OSU last defeated the Longhorns on Jan. 12, 2000 in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
