Sutton Home After Automobile Accident
February 11, 2006 | Cowboy Basketball
Sutton suffered no serious injuries and will continue to recover from bumps, bruises and lacerations suffered in the accident.Â
“It is good to be home, although I would rather be with my team in College Station,” Sutton said. “I am certainly with them in spirit and I'm counting on them winning today, which is the best medicine I could receive. I plan on rejoining the team as soon as possible.
“I want to sincerely thank everyone for their concern and prayers. I especially want to thank those who assisted at the accident site and the doctors and staff at the Stillwater Medical Center.”  Â
OSU System CEO and President David Schmidly, who was in Houston Friday night for an OSU alumni function, will be with the team today at Texas A&M. Â
“We wish Coach Sutton a speedy recovery and want him to know the entire Cowboy nation and people across the country have him in their thoughts. We remain grateful no one was seriously injured in the accident,” Schmidly said. Â
OSU Vice President for Athletics Mike Holder said, “While we look forward to Coach Sutton rejoining the team as soon as possible, we want him to take whatever time he needs to fully heal.  We are fortunate to have a superb basketball coaching staff lead by head-coach designate Sean Sutton and assistants, James Dickey, Jimmy Williams and Kyle Keller.”
