Cowboy Basketball Cracks Top 25

Oklahoma State's men's basketball team moved into both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today polls on Monday, checking in at Nos. 22 and 24, respectively.
The Cowboys, who are off to a 9-0 start after defeating Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Pepperdine last week, garnered 157 points in the AP ranking and 64 points in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll.
The distinction marks the first time OSU has been ranked since the 2004-05 season when the Cowboys spent the entire year among the top 10 and finished ranked sixth by the AP and eighth by the coaches after posting a 26-7 record.
First-year head coach Sean Sutton and the Cowboys will be back in action on Tuesday night when they face Syracuse in the first game of the Jimmy V Classic at 6 p.m. (CST). The game will be televised live from Madison Square Garden on ESPN.
