Cowgirls Suffer First Loss at Arkansas State, 80-73

The Cowgirls played their first true road game of the season and fell to 8-1 on the year, while
The Cowgirls got the first basket of the game from Maria Cordero, and that was the only lead of the game for OSU.
The Cowgirls trailed by as many as 15 points in the second half, and they were able to cut the deficit to two. OSU, however, could not overtake the Indians in the final minute.
The closest the Cowgirls got during the first half was two points at 11-9. The Indians quickly opened up a 13-point advantage behind the shooting of Adrianne Davie.
With just three seconds remaining in the first half, freshman Andrea Riley committed a foul that sent Ali Carter to the free throw line where she put the Indians up 37-28 at halftime.
The Indians shot .517 percent from the field, while the Cowgirls shot just .237 percent (9-for-38). OSU did a much better job in the second half, but it could not slow down the Indian offense. The two teams traded baskets, and
