Postgame Notes vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006
JamesOn Curry scored a career-high 35 points tonight vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. It is his second 30-point game and the 59th in school history.
He is just the 18th player in school history to reach 35 points. It is also the most by a Big 12 player this season.
Curry dished out nine assists, just one shy of a double double. Head coach Sean Sutton is the only player in school history to record at least 20 points and 10 assists in a single game.
With nine assists tonight, Curry moved past Eddie Hannon and into 15th place on the all-time school career assists list. Curry now has 271 assists in his career.
Curry connected on four three-point shots, moving him past Melvin Sanders and into ninth place on the school career list.
Terrel Harris' 20 points is a season high and one point shy of his career best.
Obi Muonelo reached double figures for the eighth-consecutive time to start his career, the first freshman in school history to do so.
Muonelo, Curry and Mario Boggan have all reached double figures in each of the Cowboys' first eight games.
Oklahoma State finished the game with just five players after David Monds, Kenny Cooper and Mario Boggan all fouled out. Freshmen Andy Shaw and Scott Warner are redshirting this season and would have to be pulled out of redshirt to play.
The Cowboy defense forced 20 or more turnovers for the fifth time this season.
