November 12, 2006 | Cowboy Basketball
Jamaal Brown has been dismissed from the Cowboy Basketball team, it was announced today by head coach Sean Sutton.
“Jamaal and I have visited recently and we have come to the conclusion that it is in the best interests of both Jamaal and our basketball program that we go in different directions,” said Sutton. “Jamaal is going to stay in school at Oklahoma State and is planning to graduate in May.”
Brown was a junior on the squad last season and played in 33 games for the Cowboys, starting 13. He averaged 5.5 points and 3.1 assists.
“I'm certainly proud of Jamaal's commitment to earn his degree from OSU,” said Sutton. “We wish he and his family much happiness and success in their future.”
