Black Defeats Orange in Basketball Bash, 32-31

Sophomores Kenny Cooper, Byron Eaton and Terrel Harris each scored six points for the Black team, which shot 52 percent from the floor. Eaton also had six assists and just three turnovers in the 20-minute scrimmage, broken down into two 10-minute halves. Junior college transfer Tyler Hatch was also on the Black squad.
Senior David Monds led the Orange team with 11 points on 5-of-5 shooting from the floor. Junior JamesOn Curry added 10 poitns and five boards for the home team, which also included junior Marcus Dove and freshmen Obi Muonelo and Andy Shaw, both from Edmond, Okla. Muonelo had three rebounds and three assists, while Dove scored eight points and had four steals.
Both squads played the full 20 minutes as there were only 10 players on the court.
The Cowboys begin the exhibition portion of their schedule on Friday, Nov. 3, as the Pokes take on Pittsburg State.
