Cowboy Basketball Preseason No. 3 in Big 12

Kansas is the unanimous preseason pick as the top team, garnering 11 first-place votes and picking up the maximum possible 121 points. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team. Texas A&M came in second, receiving one first-place vote and 109 total points.
Texas was fourth in the preseason poll with 95 points, followed by Kansas State (76 points) and Texas Tech (68) to round out the upper-half of the conference.
Oklahoma State will open the exhibition portion of its schedule on Friday, Nov. 3, as the Cowboys host Pittsburg State. The regular season begins on Friday, Nov. 10, when OSU opens with Florida Atlantic.
Fans have an opportunity to catch the Pokes in action this Saturday, Oct. 21, as OSU hosts its annual Basketball Bash inside Gallagher-Iba Arena at 1 p.m.
