Basketball Bash to be a part of Homecoming Festivities

The Bash will kick off the inaugural season of head coach Sean Sutton. It will mark the first opportunity for fans to catch a glimpse of the 2006-07 edition of the Cowboy and Cowgirl basketball teams.
John Smith's four-time defending national champion wrestling team will be recognized, including All-Americans Coleman Scott, Nathan Morgan, and two-time national champion Johny Hendricks.
Oklahoma State's Cowgirl basketball team, coached by Kurt Budke, will be introduced and conduct a 12-minute scrimmage.
Following the scrimmage, Cowgirls Christina Fox, Rita Kollo, Andrea Riley and Rashidat Sadiq will join Cowboys Mario Boggan, JamesOn Curry, Byron Eaton and Terrel Harris in a three-point shooting contest.
The event will conclude with a 20-minute scrimmage by the men's team.
Fans are encouraged to participate in the many activities prior to the football contest against Texas A&M at 6 p.m. The OkState Corral on the north side of Boone Pickens Stadium includes face painting, inflatables, the Go Vision and carnival-style concessions, while on the south side, several vendors will be set up with made in Oklahoma crafts for sale.
The Walk from the Student Union to the stadium will begin at 3:45 p.m. Fans are encouraged to line the streets as the Cowboys trek to the stadium.
Admission to the Basketball Bash is $5 for general admission. Oklahoma State students and children under two years of age are free. Tickets are available for presale on the official athletics website at www.okstate.com later this week.
On the day of the Bash, tickets will be available for purchase at the north and south ticket windows of Boone Pickens Stadium at 8 a.m. and at the ticket windows of Gallagher-Iba Arena beginning at 11:30 a.m. Doors open at noon, with a pre-Bash festival, including cheers and highlight videos, before the main event.
