Cowgirl Basketball Travels To Austin To Battle Texas

Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (6-12, 0-7) will be in search of its first road win of the season on Saturday when it travels to Austin, Texas for a 3 p.m. tilt with the Texas Longhorns (10-7, 4-3). The Cowgirls, who are 0-5 on the road this season, are coming off a 61-51 loss on Wednesday against Texas Tech, while the Longhorns fell at Oklahoma during the midweek. This weekend's game will be televised by Fox Sports Southwest with Brian Anderson and Brenda VanLengen having the call.
Scouting The Longhorns
Texas had its four-game winning streak halted on Wednesday night with its 75-57 loss at Oklahoma. Head coach Jody Conradt's squad is 7-2 at home this season with both losses coming against teams currently in the Top 25 (New Mexico and Duke). Junior Tiffany Jackson is tops on the team in scoring and rebounding at 14.8 points and 9.1 boards per outing. Freshman Erika Arriaran is the only other player scoring in double figures at 10.9 points per game. Texas has owned the all-time series with OSU, claiming 18 of the 21 meetings. The Longhorns have won the last 11 contests in the series and own a 9-1 record in Austin. OSU's last win against UT came on Jan. 12, 2000 at home, while its lone road win was a 69-66 triumph on Feb. 25, 1998.
