OSU is 12-6 overall and 2-2 in Big 12 Conference action after suffering an 80-78 overtime loss on Saturday to Colorado in Stillwater. Texas is 16-2 overall, 4-0 in league play and coming off a 66-47 win over Baylor in Waco Saturday.
On Television
Mondays game will be broadcast live as part of ESPNs Big Monday package. This game will mark Oklahoma States 67th appearance on ESPN, and the Cowboys are 18-10 all-time on Big Monday. OSU is 1-1 all-time vs. Texas on Big Monday. The Pokes defeated Texas 76-67 on March 1, 2004, and fell to the Longhorns 75-61 on Jan. 17, 2005.
Last Time Out
Junior college transfer Torre Johnson recorded his second-consecutive double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds off the bench, but OSU missed a couple of shots in the final seconds of overtime and Colorado won for the first time in Stillwater in 28 years, 80-78. The Buffs had not won in Gallagher-Iba Arena since Jan. 12, 1980. OSU struggled throughout most of the first half and trailed only by nine at halftime thanks to a last-second dunk by Johnson. The Pokes trailed by 12 just 1:20 into the second period. However, OSU went on a 16-0 run starting with a jumper by Johnson and ending with a dunk by Johnson four minutes later. Colorado hit 12 three pointers and forced 16 OSU turnovers. The most vital, however, came at the end of the overtime period. CU was up two and after two missed shots by the Cowboys, Richard Roby Colorados leading scorer with a game-high 27 points went to the line for a one-and-one. He missed the first, Johnson grabbed the rebound, and dished to JamesOn Curry. Curry was triple teamed, and his pass to an open Terrel Harris in the corner sailed out of bounds as the final buzzer sounded.
