Cowgirls Set To Host Kansas State

Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (6-9, 0-4) will look to get back on the winning track on Wednesday when it hosts Kansas State (12-3, 2-2) at 7 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. The Cowgirls are currently in the midst of a four-game losing skid after falling to Oklahoma last Saturday, while the Wildcats snapped a two-game slide of their own with a win against Colorado over the weekend.
Scouting The Wildcats
Kansas State comes to town fresh off an 85-66 victory over Colorado last Saturday. The win moved the Wildcats to 2-2 in league play and snapped a two-game losing streak. K-State opened Big 12 action with a victory over Texas Tech. The Wildcats are 4-2 this season in road games with both losses coming at the hands of Big 12 teams. Junior Claire Coggins is the squad's leading scorer at 11.6 points per outing, while Sapulpa, Okla., native Twiggy McIntyre is second at 11.1 points and has a team-best 28 steals. Freshman Shalee Lehning leads the team in rebounding at 6.1 boards per game and is tops with 71 assists as well. OSU holds a 25-24 advantage in the all-time series with K-State, but has dropped the last three. The Cowgirls last won in the series on Jan. 19, 2002, knocking off the Wildcats, 68-60, who were ranked ninth.

The Cowgirls will resume their road schedule over the weekend when they travel to Lawrence, Kan., to take on the Kansas Jayhawks at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
