Fifth-ranked Baylor Topples Cowgirls

WACO, Texas (AP) - Baylor coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson wasn't pleased with her team's offense, but the defense had her smiling after the fifth-ranked Bears beat Oklahoma State 57-26 on Wednesday night.
Oklahoma State's 26 points represented the lowest offensive output for a Baylor opponent in school history. The previous low had been 44 points in a 69-44 win over Nebraska on Feb. 5, 2003.
``We've had trouble scoring all year long,'' Oklahoma State coach Kurt Budke said. ``We've got the most inexperienced lineup in the Big 12.''
Jessica Morrow, who had not appeared in Baylor's last three games, scored 11 points and Sophia Young added 10 for the Lady Bears.
The Lady Bears (12-1, 2-1 Big 12) opened the second half with an 11-2 run to extend their lead to 36-16 with 14 minutes left.
Baylor's Chameka Scott made a 3-pointer to make it 53-23 with 6:04 remaining.
Whitney Pegram scored 14 points for Oklahoma State (6-8, 0-3), which scored 12 points in the second half and finished with its lowest output of the season.
The Cowgirls opened the game with a 10-0 run, holding Baylor scoreless for more than six minutes. Shaunte Smith finished off the spurt with a jumper. But Morrow scored five points as Baylor responded with a 16-0 run over the next eight minutes.
The Lady Bears held Oklahoma State to four points the rest of the way to lead 25-14 at halftime.
Young got all of her points in the first half.
