Cowboys Earn Fall Recognition

Oklahoma State's tennis team had three players ranked in ITA's fall preseason rankings released this week.

Tomas Bohunicky is the only Cowboy ranked in singles. Bohunicky played primarily the No. 2 position for the Cowboys in 2004. The senior from Trnava, Slovakia finished the season at 11-14 after losing in the first round of the NCAA Singles' Tournament.

Daniel Byrnes and Felipe Diaz are ranked 35th in doubles. Byrnes and Diaz are new together as a team. Byrnes, a junior from Melbourne, Australia, played doubles with OSU's top player Mark Van Elden last season. Diaz, a senior from Bogota, Columbia, teamed with Boris Kuharic. Head coach James Wadley will look to strengthen his doubles' teams by putting his top two doubles' players together.

The Cowboys will play in individual tournaments to help them get ready for the season next spring.
