Curry invited to USA Basketball U21 Team Trials

Curry was a member of the Big 12 Conference's all-freshman team this past season after averaging 9.4 points and 2.8 assists per game as a true freshman. The Pleasant Grove, N.C., native started 15 of OSU's final 16 games, averaging 13.3 points per contest over that span.
Saint Joseph's head coach Phil Martelli has been named as the USA team's head coach. The staff will include James Flint from Drexel and Georgia's Dennis Felton.
Others competing for a spot on the USA team include Connecticut's Josh Boone and Rudy Gay, Adam Morrison of Gonzaga, Duke's J.J. Redick, C.J. Giles of Kansas, and Oklahoma's Taj Gray.
The Team Trials will take place in Dallas, Texas, July 21-23. The Trials will be used to select the final 12-member U.S. U21 squad that will look to defend the USA's gold medal at the 2005 FIBA U21 World Championship in Mar de Plata, Argentina, Aug. 5-14.
